春节 Spring Festival (Bilingual)

Simplified Chinese Characters and Pinyin with English translation. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese Storybook (24 Pages).

春节 Spring Festival, is the new year for Chinese people. The Chinese New Year is more popularly known as the Spring Festival in China because it marks the beginning of spring and the end of winter. The actual date is not a fixed date, instead it is changed according to the Chinese lunar calendar every year. As such, the first day of the New Year begins with the New Moon and ends on the Full Moon i.e. from the first day to the 15th day of the first month in a new year. The last day (the 15th day of the first lunar month) of the New Year is known as the Lantern Festival.

This book tells the story of 春节 or the Spring Festival in simple sentences in Mandarin Chinese with pinyin which will help children at the intermediate level to read by themselves and for reading aloud with beginners new to the language.
