In a similar vein, in this book, a squirrel stumbles upon a prized chestnut. The squirrel finds a place and buries the chestnut to store it for winter. As the weather grows colder, the little squirrel begins to worry about his treasured chestnut and returns to look for it. But alas, it was no longer there! This book introduces simple sentences in Mandarin Chinese with pinyin which will help children at the intermediate level to read by themselves and for reading aloud with beginners new to the language. There is a glossary at the end of the book that reiterates the key words and expressions used in the book.
 
On each page the Simplified Chinese Characters and pinyin are shown with the English translation referenced at the end of the book.
