毕昇 Bi Sheng (Bilingual)

Simplified Chinese Characters and Pinyin with English translation. Bilingual Mandarin Chinese Storybook (36 Pages).

Bi Sheng (990–1051 AD) is possible the most important person in history that you have never heard until now. Johannes Gutenberg may have brought the printing press to Europe but it was originally invented long before that by Bi Sheng around 1040 AD. Bi Sheng was a Chinese artisan and inventor of the world's first “movable type printing technology for printing paper books using porcelain materials. This is one of the Four Great Inventions of Ancient China (which are paper, printing, compass and gunpowder).

This book tells the story of Bi Sheng in simple sentences in Mandarin Chinese with pinyin which will help children at the intermediate level to read by themselves and for reading aloud with beginners new to the language.
