Whilst the book mentions the name of the animals and insects in mandarin as shown on the pictures, the fonts are rather small and without any translations. For non-mandarin readers I have included a list of the names animals and insects in mandarin and the English translations mentioned on the relevant pages. You can print the words out and cut and paste them in the story book next to the said animal or insect as I have done for my son or you could just have them alongside as a reference while you read. * The book mentions 昆虫 which technically means insect. I think the more appropriate word to use here would be 毛毛虫 which means caterpillar.
